I've contributed to almost 50 newspapers and magazines including The Financial Times, The Guardian. The Independent, The Yorkshire Post, France, El País, Spain Gourmetour, The Journalist, Reporting Europe, Money International, Speak Up, Tribune, The Yorkshire Post.

For several years I was associated with Lookout, Spain's premier English-language magazine until its dignified demise. For a number of years I was correspondent for Windpower Monthly, leading renewables energy industry magazine, first in Spain and later in France. I was also assistant editor of Playdays, a BBC pre-school magazine.

Many of my articles have been about Spain but I've looked into some interesting subjects besides, including:

• Renewable energy gadgets
• Statues of the Black Virgin
• Mazes

I've always got ideas for fresh subjects to tackle.
