Travel Guides

I make and update travel guide books for blue-chip publishers. The majority are on Spain or France but I've also covered a variety of other places from Istanbul to Mexico.

Depending on the project, I do some or all of the following:

• consultancy
• preparation of flatplan and synopsis
• commissioning of contributors, indexers, proofreaders
• briefing cartographers
• commissioning illustrators
• writing (from a chapter to a complete book)
• lay-out (working with a designer)
• project co-ordination and management
• editing
• proof correction
• photography
• overseeing production and ozalids
• preparation of marketing material and book promotion

I also offer a full book packaging service, working in partnership with a book designer.
